The story continues from the first part, depicting the lives of five boys: Rentaro Futaba (played by Jun Matsumoto), Haruhiko Takita (played by Satoshi Ohno), Takuma Onda (played by Kazunari Ninomiya), Tadashi Kamogawa (played by Sho Sakurai), and Shun Okano (played by Masaki Aiba) as they each embark on their own paths after graduating from high school. On a certain day, three years later, they accidentally reunite. Takuma Onda, who has been pursuing music activities in the United States, suddenly returns to Japan, while Rentaro Futaba's whereabouts are unknown. The four who meet again return to the Yashio residential area where they used to live together. However, things have changed, and a fierce dispute arises between the local community planning to build a new high-end residential area and the residents opposing the redevelopment.
