A courtesan, the most beautiful scenery of 16th century Venice. They are charming and elegant, reciting poetry and expressing femininity at its finest, with Veronika (Catherine McCormack) being the most beautiful flower of Venice. She was born into an ordinary family and fell in love with a young nobleman, Marco (Rufus Sewell), but the disparity in their family statuses led to an unfruitful relationship. Disheartened, Veronika chose the path of a courtesan to win the heart of the man she loved. Her graceful presence ignites both love and hate in the hearts of unattainable men, stirring jealousy among noblewomen. Soon, war breaks out, plunging the nation into crisis and dread, and Veronika stands up for her country's interests.
