In a remote residence, a gruesome and bizarre murder case unfolds. The dismembered and decaying corpse of a woman quietly emits a foul odor. The female detective Yoshida Ayako (played by Miki Mizuno), assigned to the case, immediately begins her investigation. During this process, two mysterious women, Ikebuchi Izumi (played by Kei Kagurazaka) and Oizawa Mitsuko (played by Makoto Togashi), gradually come into the spotlight. As the wife of a famous novelist, Ikebuchi Izumi leads a calm yet monotonous life, doing almost nothing except waiting for her husband to return home at the same time every day. Mitsuko, on the other hand, is an associate professor at a prestigious university, enjoying a high reputation in the education and academic fields. What kind of connection exists between these two seemingly unrelated women? Ayako also has her own secrets; despite appearing steadfast and virtuous, she actually leads a very chaotic private life. Faced with a black hole of desire that keeps expanding, how will she manage to uphold her own boundaries?
