IFC Films has acquired the North American distribution rights for the thriller [Political Intrigue] (An Acceptable Loss, working title), directed by Joe Chappelle and starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Tika Sumpter. The film will have its world premiere at the Chicago Film Festival this weekend. The story follows former U.S. national security advisor Elizabeth (played by Sumpter) who is threatened by colleagues due to her secret past, with Curtis portraying one of her colleagues, an unyielding female politician.
