Ah Chang (played by Chen Guobang) and Ah Yan (played by Yang Yumei) are a couple who have just gotten married. They join a travel group to honeymoon in the United States. That night, Ah Chang secretly sneaks out to see a strip show, only to find upon his return that Ah Yan has gone missing. Feeling immense guilt, Ah Chang immediately begins searching for Ah Yan, only to unexpectedly get caught up in a human trafficking case involving nationality issues. On the other side, Ah Li is a young girl who has come alone to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. She boards a smuggler's boat with a large group of other illegal immigrants from China. Afterward, Ah Li is placed in a small dark room to wait. In reality, the smuggler selects young and beautiful women among the illegal immigrants, fooling them with various reasons to stay, claiming they can’t contact their friends or family. After threats and coercion, they are forced into prostitution to pay off the debt for their illegal entry.
