A series of cases where women returning home at night are raped and murdered have left the police overwhelmed. Officer Zhengqiang is assigned to investigate this case, while his journalist girlfriend Yuxin arranges to meet Xiaoling, who works in phone sex, in a restaurant for an exclusive interview. The restaurant owner, Mei Shumin, also takes the opportunity to flirt with her. Shortly after, a mysterious killer threatens Xiaoling, even calling to intimidate her with death threats.
