The gangster Fang Zi (played by Kim Joo-hyuk) finds a well-known local popular novelist and asks him to organize his story into writing... Fang Zi comes from a humble background and, at the age of thirty, becomes a personal servant to Lee Menglong (played by Ryu Seung-bum). Menglong falls in love at first sight with the daughter of the brothel owner, the courtesan Chunhyang (played by Jang Yu-jin).
