Rui (played by Rio Yamashita) was once a carefree girl, but after being severely injured in a car accident, she becomes blind and faces a long life in darkness. This incident brings a huge blow to Rui, leaving her unable to recover for a long time. After losing her sight, Rui needs to go to a rehabilitation center to adapt and learn how to live as a blind person, but she has little interest in this and remains immersed in despair. One day, Rui unexpectedly meets a high school boy named Kō (played by Kenta Kiritani), who is passionate about paragliding. He dreams of riding a rare updraft called "Lion" to soar through the skies. The cheerful Kō gradually warms Rui's heart and brings the two lonely souls closer together.
