John (played by Owen Wilson) and Jenny (played by Jennifer Aniston) are a couple immersed in happiness. Shortly after their wedding, they move to West Palm Beach, Florida, and each finds a satisfying job in journalism. Following the traditional pattern, this settled family is expected to welcome a new member. However, the couple seems unprepared for this, and on the advice of their friend Sebastian (played by Eric Dane), John decides to give his wife a yellow Labrador puppy as a practice run for parenting. This little guy, named Marley, enters John's home, mischievous and tireless, causing the couple quite a bit of trouble, but at the same time becoming an indispensable part of the family. This film is adapted from the bestselling book "Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog" by newspaper columnist John Grogan and won the Best Film Music Award at the 2009 British Academy Film and Television Awards.
