High school senior Miles (played by Tim Boardman) has a dream; he longs to escape his small town in Illinois and pursue his film career in the big city. However, his father depleted the college fund on his mistress before passing away, and his mother is unable to afford Miles's tuition and living expenses, leaving him feeling hopeless about his future. Despite the many challenges, Miles is determined not to give up and strives to find a way forward. Eventually, Miles discovers a scholarship opportunity, but the condition is that he must join the only girls' volleyball team at his school, which is his only chance to get into the University of Chicago. This opportunity, however, sparks significant controversy and strong opposition, as it is unusual for a boy to join a girls' volleyball team, creating quite a stir.
