The film is written and directed by Ashley Avis, based on the bestselling novel of the same name completed by Anna Sewell in 1877. The original novel is narrated from the perspective of “The Black Stallion” in the first person, depicting an autobiographical memoir belonging to “The Black Stallion.” The film will focus on the deep emotional bond between 17-year-old girl Jet (played by McKenna Fooi) and “The Black Stallion” (voiced by Kate Winslet), as it is “The Black Stallion” that helps Jet overcome the emotional trauma of her parents' death.
