Adapted from the Battle of Xinkou during the Anti-Japanese War, the story follows the heroic actions of Zhao Chongde, a hero of the Eighth Route Army, who leads a night attack on the Japanese army's Yangmingbao Airport, destroying 24 enemy aircraft, and ultimately sacrificing himself bravely while covering the retreat of his troops.
