Ajie (played by Jacky Cheung) is an elite member of the Flying Tiger team, and he has a strained relationship with his father, Fei Bo (played by Ng Man-tat). Fei Bo offended Senior Inspector Hung Kwan (played by Chin Siu-ho) when he was a police officer, resulting in retaliation that made their lives difficult. During a fight with thugs, he accidentally killed his eldest son. Because of this, Ajie has never been able to forgive his father. At this time, Fei Bo is already retired and working at a nightclub, and has a girlfriend Ah Hong (played by Ng Ka-lai) who is a dancer. Ajie saves Heidi (played by Sammi Cheng), who was taken hostage by robbers, and they develop feelings for each other. The twist, however, is that Heidi is actually Hung Kwan's daughter. Hung Kwan, no longer a police officer, has become a gang leader. Knowing that his daughter has fallen for Ajie, he ruthlessly decides to tear them apart and even sends people to hunt down Ajie. Fei Bo dies in a fire while trying to protect his son, and Ajie vows to settle the score with Hung Kwan but is stopped by Heidi...
