Based on the historical facts of the cooperation between Chinese military and civilians during the Anti-Japanese War, using military dogs as weapons to resist Japanese invaders. Underground party member Guan Hanliang disguises himself to visit a village in Wuping Mountain in search of a good dog. Guan and the Japanese officer Yagi discover that the dog Hailong from Erlin is an exceptionally rare wolf dog. Hailong tragically dies while trying to save his owner, and his puppy, Dalong and Xiaolong, join Guan's military dog commando team. After a year of intense training, they become the lead dogs in the military dog unit. Yagi's forces launch a frenzied attack on the guerrilla team and nearby villages. Dalong sacrifices himself after returning to the military dog training base, and Xiaolong leads Yagi to Hailong's grave to take revenge in his own way.
