Wesley (Andy Lau) is a special member of the United Nations Alien Biological Analysis Bureau, responsible for handling all extraterrestrial-related events on Earth. During a visit to an antique shop, he encounters Fang Tianya (Gigi Leung), an alien with blue blood who looks no different from an ordinary beauty and with whom he had a fleeting encounter in his youth. When Wesley tries to keep her around, Fang Tianya disappears. A nearby alien biological attack occurs, prompting the U.S. FBI's alien investigation unit to send elite siblings Bai Su (Shu Qi) and Bai Qiwei (Zhang Yaoyang) to investigate the scene. They engage in battle with an A-class combat alien. Hearing the commotion, Wesley arrives to help but is unfortunately overpowered and severely injured.
