Max DeCosta (Pierce Brosnan) and Lola Cirillo (Salma Hayek) are an exceptionally skilled and intimately connected duo of thieves. They traverse the globe, are renowned internationally, admired by their peers, and feared and hated by the police and wealthy businessmen. After a battle of wits and courage with their old foe, FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson), the two successfully steal a priceless diamond. They then fly to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, where they begin a leisurely life of seclusion. While the comfortable life is certainly appealing, Max, who is accustomed to thrilling, high-stakes adventures, soon finds himself restless. Stan appears at the right moment, revealing to Max that three valuable diamonds will be on display aboard a luxury cruise ship passing through Paradise Island. Unable to resist the temptation, Max decides to return to his former life, unaware that Stan and the police have already set a trap, waiting for the big catch…
