"The King's Affection" is mainly set in the Joseon Dynasty and tells the story of sewing clothes for the king and royal members, including the queen consort. The newcomer who sews for the king has extraordinary talent, but his overly straightforward personality attracts jealousy from the royal master craftsman, leading to open and covert battles between the two within the palace. 高修 plays a character who, although gifted in tailoring, crosses boundaries by sewing for himself without the knowledge of the king and queen due to his candid nature. 韩石圭 portrays a master craftsman who has been making clothes for the king since the previous monarch, and is considered the most skilled artisan of his time; however, he gradually feels despair because of 高修's genius talent. 朴信惠 plays a queen who deeply cherishes the cold-hearted king, maintaining a proud demeanor while secretly valuing talent.
