Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis), the bumbling scientist, mistakenly operates his dangerous scientific experiment again, and this time the "victims" are himself, his brother, and their wives. In this incident, the four adults are instantly shrunk to a size smaller than a raisin and can only be seen through a magnifying glass. They find themselves battling with "giant" cockroaches and must come up with a way to let their kids know what has happened. However, the clueless children don’t realize that their parents have been shrunk and can't hear the adults' desperate pleas for help, which sound like the buzzing of mosquitoes. How can the four desperate adults call for help from their kids? The sequel, "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid," continues the thrilling adventures, this time focusing on the adults.
