In the chaotic world of the Three Kingdoms, with fires of war raging, Zhao Yun (played by Andy Lau), a newly appointed engineer, volunteers to take action. With the strategic counsel of military advisor Zhuge Liang (played by Pu Cunxin), who advises a strategy of offense as defense, Zhao Yun accomplishes a great feat by disrupting enemy camps. In the subsequent Battle of Changban Slope, Zhao Yun single-handedly breaks into Cao's camp to rescue the young lord, earning fame in the process. He is then entrusted with significant responsibilities and heads out to Dingjun Mountain alongside veteran general Huang Zhong, successfully securing Hanzhong and laying the foundation for the Shu Kingdom. However, due to Huang Zhong's impatience to claim glory, he leads an early charge and falls victim to Cao Cao's cunning tactics, suffering heavy losses. In a moment of crisis, Zhao Yun arrives just in time to rescue Huang Zhong and Luo Ping'an (played by Jackie Chan) and, aided by Zhuge Liang's ingenious plan, sets fire to Cao's supply lines, turning the tide of battle and achieving great merit. Zhao Yun is subsequently promoted to one of the Five Tiger Generals, while his fellow townsman and elder brother, Luo Ping'an, is filled with mixed emotions. Time passes quickly amidst the warfare, and the Five Tiger Generals of Shu gradually pass away. Before Zhuge Liang's next grand plan to eliminate Wei, Zhao Yun insists on leading as the vanguard general but encounters Cao Cao's army of 100,000 at Fengming Mountain. How will Zhao Yun face the ultimate battle of his life?
