A ship is docked at Brest Harbor, where a handsome sailor named Queral (Brad Davis) is on board. He is secretly admired by the ship's Major Ceylon (Franco Nero) and maintains an ambiguous relationship with the captain Robert (Hanno Pöschl); he flirts with the local bar owner Nono (Günther Kaufmann), purposefully loses to him in dice games to become intimate; he deals drugs, even killing a partner in crime.
