The film is based on true events. David (Zach Galifianakis) is an ordinary man in a worldly sense. Although his job is anything but ordinary—he is an armored truck driver—David knows that no matter how much money is stuffed into the vehicle he drives, that money has nothing to do with him, and he has never entertained any crooked thoughts about it. David's only hope every day is to have a few words with his beautiful colleague Kelly (Kristen Wiig). One day, unexpectedly, Kelly suddenly "invites" David to participate in a "well-planned" robbery, joined by the seemingly unreliable Steve (Owen Wilson). As expected, the robbery plan goes awry, but David could never have imagined he would be the one taking the fall.
