Agent Hanaway (Josh Holloway) is killed during a mission, and nuclear secrets are intercepted by the female assassin, Mireille (Léa Seydoux). To retrieve the documents, agent Benji (Simon Pegg) and agent Jane (Paula Patton) rescue Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) from a Russian prison. Their mission under the Ghost Protocol is to steal nuclear military codes from the Kremlin. However, as they approach their target, they find that the terrorist Hendricks (Michael Nyqvist) has gotten there first and stolen the codes. In an explosion, Hunt is trapped in a hospital and pursued by Russian agents, but fortunately, his agility helps him escape. However, Hunt's superior is killed in the chaos, leaving only his assistant Brandt (Jeremy Renner) to survive alongside Hunt. Together with Benji and Jane, the four of them, now in a desperate situation, embark on a final struggle, battling terrorists from Dubai to India...
