The story takes place along the prosperous banks of the Nile, where the peaceful rule of the god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) allows the people to live in harmony and happiness. However, this peace is short-lived as the evil dark god Set (Gerard Butler) uses schemes to seize Horus's throne and eyes, exiling and imprisoning him. Set, being brutal and warlike by nature, quickly plunges the entire nation into chaos. Beck (Brenton Thwaites) is an ordinary human thief who unexpectedly becomes the only hope to save humanity. To combat the powerful Set, he travels far and wide to find Horus and seek his help. Thus, a strange alliance between a man and a god is formed. To regain his power, Horus must retrieve his eyes, and with this goal, they embark on their journey.
