In the mountains of Shu, on Kunlun Mountain, the Master Gloom Moon (played by Zhang Baizhi) falls in love with her disciple Xuantianzong (played by Zheng Yijian). Foreseeing the evil Blood Demon from Youquan attacking Kunlun, she, knowing she cannot resist, uses the excuse of protecting Xuantianzong's life to send him down the mountain, handing over the Kunlun's secret weapon "Sun and Moon Golden Wheel" to him, while she herself is killed by the Blood Demon, draining all the spiritual energy from Kunlun Mountain. Two hundred years later, evil forces once again invade the righteous sects. The founder of Emei, the Real Master Emei (played by Hung Kim Bau), fearing this battle will harm the mortal world, sends his top disciple Dan Chenzi (played by Gu Tianle) to the foot of the mountain to separate the warring armies in the mortal realm. Along the way, he encounters Cheng Letian (played by Zhang Ziyi) and Xuantianzong, only to accidentally discover the secret of the Blood Demon and thus falls into a trap. In their moment of life and death, Real Master Emei leads his disciples to rescue them, and Xuantianzong is shocked to find that one of the female disciples, Li Yingqi (played by Zhang Baizhi), bears a striking resemblance to Master Gloom Moon. Meanwhile, Real Master Emei realizes he has fallen into the Blood Demon's scheme, and a more dangerous battle between righteousness and evil is about to unfold…
