One night while stationed in the emergency room, Wei-ye gives blood to a critically injured patient with a rare blood type, only to discover that the patient is Han Jiang (played by Sean Lau), the leader of a notorious bank robbery gang. Wei-ye faces condemnation from his colleagues because of this, and soon after, Han Jiang escapes and leads his gang to commit heinous crimes, resulting in the death of Wei-ye's colleague during a shootout. As the saying goes, “Man proposes, God disposes,” and the rampant Han Jiang never anticipated being mercilessly consumed by his own desires. He witnesses betrayal and murder while also watching the collapse of his strong inner convictions…
