Zhang Shaobin (played by Huang Chenglin) returns to his hometown after finishing his military service. Before going home, he fulfills his father's request to buy a donkey to bring back. However, on the way, Zhang encounters a girl named Qiu Zixin (voiced by Li Ruojia), who accidentally obtains the ledger of human traffickers and subsequently loses her memory. Unable to abandon this pitiful girl, Zhang Shaobin has no choice but to put his own matters aside and help her regain her memory. The traffickers, having lost their important ledger, will not let it go easily; they follow Zhang Shaobin and Qiu Zixin closely, looking for the right opportunity. Liu Ming (played by Hou Kaiwen) is the son of the police chief but is sent to work at a county police station under the guise of training. The ledger leads Liu Ming to mistakenly believe that Zhang Shaobin and Qiu Zixin are human traffickers.
