A pregnant drug-addicted woman is torn between whether to have an abortion. The film features no absolutely positive characters; Payne uses a reckless courage and even somewhat bitter irony to mock both sides of the abortion issue—amidst a dispute that escalates to the ideological realm, individual lives are ultimately ignored and sacrificed. Although the comedic elements are somewhat exaggerated, Payne's sharp social satire and excellent sense of humor begin to shine through in the film. It is also from this film that Payne collaborates with Jim Taylor as co-writer.
