Thirteen-year-old Bruce (Ben Radcliffe) excels in salsa dancing and is undoubtedly a shining star on stage, but in real life, the timid and somewhat weak Bruce becomes a target for bullying among his peers. An unexpected incident completely shatters Bruce's confidence, and engulfed in fear, he abandons his dream of dancing, sinking into a life of downfall. Time flies, and twenty-two years pass.
