Laura (voiced by Céline Vogt) is a charming seven-year-old girl who moves with her family from the picturesque countryside to a bustling city. Although she misses the relaxed life and beautiful scenery of the countryside, Laura prefers to be with her family. As night falls, the tranquil moonlight casts a glow on Laura's face, and her longing for her hometown keeps her awake. Fortunately, she climbs onto the roof to gaze at the night sky. Suddenly, something unusual catches Laura's attention. Upon closer inspection, she discovers that it is a star that has fallen from the sky due to a missing leg. Laura picks up the star and takes it home to care for it, and soon, her life is transformed dramatically by the star's magical powers. As time goes by, Laura finds it increasingly hard to part with the star, but it is destined to return to its rightful place in the night sky, and the farewell is imminent.
