Yang Jian fails to save his mother by splitting the mountain and is punished to guard the ancient divine artifact, the Heavenly Pearl, at the Tianji Pavilion. One day, a masked demon, coveting the Heavenly Pearl, battles Yang Jian in the Tianji Pavilion, resulting in the Heavenly Pearl falling to the mortal realm. In search of the Heavenly Pearl, Yang Jian descends to the mortal world with the Howling Celestial Dog, where he meets Sister Yao from Lingshan Village and her daughter, Hui'er. Unexpectedly, he discovers that Sister Yao has hidden the Heavenly Pearl on Hui'er to help her daughter survive.
