Hong Yi is a gang leader who has a complicated relationship with his son Georgie (played by Daniel Wu) — a mix of love and hate — because Georgie carries a secret that cannot be revealed, and this secret will significantly affect Hong Yi's standing in the underworld. In desperation, Hong Yi sends Georgie away from the港. Until Hong Yi's death, Georgie finally returns to港. His roommate Sam (played by Eason Chan) admires Georgie greatly, as Georgie is always successful with women and has a charming demeanor. Sam is determined to become someone successful. The opportunity eventually arises. Hong Yi's trusted confidants mistakenly bring back Sam to Hong Kong, believing him to be the "heir" and protecting him at all costs. Sam's cynical attitude frustrates them greatly, while Georgie is pleased to enjoy the peace and does not reveal the secret. Sam, the fool, ironically finds luck on his side, repeatedly thwarting the enemy's schemes, and even falls in love with the enemy's daughter, Julie (played by Karen Mok). But is everything really so peaceful and smooth?
