The China Ronghua Acrobatic Troupe has a well-known animal star, the baseball-playing lowland gorilla Lingling. Influenced by the old troupe leader, Lingling learned to hit baseballs at an early age, and the 15-year-old animal trainer Zhao Weiwei (played by Xu Jiao), who grew up with Lingling, collaborates harmoniously with him and can communicate in both human and gorilla languages. However, the old troupe leader went into heavy debt to form a hitting duo with the mountain gorilla Leiting and Lingling. After his passing, Weiwei supported the troupe's operation with her frail arms but was gradually driven to the brink by creditors. In a critical moment, the gold medal agent of the Korean professional baseball league, Jin Zhongxiu (played by Cheng Dongri), finds Weiwei. He sweet-talks her into inviting Lingling to join the struggling Korean Doosan Bears as a formal player. To repay her debts as soon as possible, Weiwei leaves her hometown with Lingling, embarking on an uncertain journey in professional baseball... This film is adapted from the original work "The Seventh Team" by Korean cartoonist Heo Young-man.
