The story takes place in Country A, where the male protagonist Zhao Jian leads his Black Wolf Squad to escort goods for General Cha Chai. On the way, they encounter an ambush by guerrillas. When Zhao Jian captures the female guerrilla leader Zhang Ling, he realizes that the Black Wolf Squad is not transporting humanitarian goods, but rather materials for human experimentation. General Cha Chai, driven by selfish desires, conducts experiments on humans. Zhang Ling requests help from the Black Wolf Squad but is refused. On their return journey, the Black Wolf Squad discovers the horrific consequences of the human experiments in the jungle. Unable to bear the pain in his heart, Zhao Jian decides to leave the Black Wolf Squad and join Zhang Ling in the fight against Cha Chai. The teammates fully support this decision and plan to eliminate Cha Chai's organization altogether, in order to appease the wronged souls.
