Dr. Dolittle (played by Eddie Murphy) has a happy family and a well-known clinic, but no one knows about his extraordinary experience: the ability to understand animal speech. As a child, he communicated with cats, dogs, horses, and donkeys, understanding their needs and feelings. However, as he grew older, Dr. Dolittle lost this "superpower." That is until one day he almost hits a little dog with his car and seems to hear the dog calling him an idiot. Suddenly, Dr. Dolittle's life becomes lively again as his long-dormant gift of animal language is reawakened. Cats and dogs not only become his friends but also come to him for medical help. The clinic turns into a bustling animal world, causing business to slump. Everyone thinks Dr. Dolittle has gone crazy, and his family struggles to understand his behavior, putting Dr. Dolittle and his clinic in significant jeopardy.
