The uncle played by Ryuhei Matsuda is an eccentric part-time philosophy lecturer who spends his days lying around at his brother's house reading comic books. He enjoys being argumentative and occasionally says surprising things. Once he becomes obsessed with something, he shows inhuman energy and drive. The story unfolds from the perspective of his nephew, Yukio (Riku Ohnishi), who initially has no fond feelings for this uncle. However, a chance encounter introduces the uncle to a goddess (Yoko Maki) he falls in love with at first sight. The goddess is set to return to Hawaii to take over her grandmother's coffee plantation, leading the uncle and nephew on a journey to Hawaii in pursuit of the goddess. The film is adapted from the children's literature of the same name by Do So.
