The little-known magician Ou David (played by Xu Zheng), relying on a few limited tricks, swindles and deceives, not only fails to make any money but occasionally gets beaten up, while wasting his days waiting to die. Through his buddy Li Wenxue (played by Wang Tali), David meets Mao Na (played by Wang Xuanyu), the art director of the Sea God Culture, and agrees to perform a magical trick that will make the gigantic statue "Mother of the Sea" standing on the beach disappear.
