Fang Shiyu (played by Jet Li) was originally a wealthy and reckless young man in the city, known for his sense of justice. One day, he hears that the rich man Lei Laohu from another province is hosting a martial arts contest to find a bride, and he learns that Miss Lei is as beautiful as a flower, so he decides to participate. Just as Fang Shiyu is about to defeat his future mother-in-law, Li Xiaohuan, a gust of wind blows up the veil of the woman sitting on the stage, and he discovers that she is actually an ugly woman.
