Fang Lijuan (played by Miriam Yeung) lives a flirtatious life with Qu Haiwen (played by Daniel Wu) every day. While Lijuan is working hard to train herself to be a good daughter-in-law to please her future father-in-law, she accepts another new task – to protect a princess arriving from a certain country. However, she encounters a funding issue, and Lijuan asks Haiwen for help, leading to Haiwen's dissatisfaction and a cold war between the two. Lijuan even mistakenly believes that the princess is trying to seduce Haiwen, leading to a fight with the princess, resulting in her suspension.
