Television producer Becky Filer (played by Rachel McAdams) has recently hit a streak of bad luck, getting fired and breaking up with her boyfriend. However, there's a silver lining as Becky is fortunate enough to receive an invitation from the crew of "The Morning Show", a nationally broadcast morning news talk show. Despite appearing to hit the jackpot, things aren't as they seem. The show's ratings have been plummeting recently, and it's become a hot potato that has landed in Becky's hands. Becky, a stubborn and determined character, decides to shake things up in the production team. She chooses to invite the legendary host Mike Pomeroy (played by Harrison Ford) at any cost. However, Mike is a difficult personality and has numerous criticisms about current news programming, making him reluctant to accept. After several twists and turns, Mike finally gets persuaded by Becky and, albeit grudgingly, becomes a major player in reforming "The Morning Show." But new challenges arise as Mike is paired with the vastly different host, Colleen Peck (played by Diane Keaton). Their contrasting styles lead to tension and conflict, putting Becky in a tough spot. Meanwhile, Becky finds a new romantic interest, but both her work and love life seem unable to progress smoothly, facing continuous setbacks...
