Middle-aged man Shingo Sumida (played by K Takayuki) is the host of a morning program at a TV station. Once a prestigious gold medal host, his career was hindered due to inappropriate behavior at a disaster relief site years ago. Now, he faces a string of unexpected troubles as bad luck hits him hard. At 3 AM, Sumida has an argument with his wife and child. On his way to the TV station, his partner Keiko Ogawa (played by Masami Nagasawa) threatens to expose the "truth" about their relationship on air. Upon arriving at the studio, he learns from a friend that the program will be canceled. He nervously deals with Keiko while cautiously broadcasting the show. Meanwhile, a café in the city is taken hostage by a robber (played by Gaku Hamada), who specifically demands Sumida come to negotiate. A long and difficult day has begun, and how will Sumida face all these challenges...
