40-year-old Isaac Davis (played by Woody Allen) is not successful in writing and is a mess in his love life. On one hand, he plans to publish a book about his intimate marital life with his ex-wife Jill (played by Meryl Streep), leaving her for another woman. On the other hand, 17-year-old Tracy (played by Mariel Hemingway)投入了 this relationship that he does not intend to take seriously with increasing enthusiasm. At this juncture, his friend Yale's (played by Michael Murphy) lover, Mary (played by Diane Keaton), enters Isaac's life, sparking chemistry with her witty conversation and engaging topics. Three men, three women, in the bustling yet lonely city of Manhattan, how should this group of adults morally and justly resolve their emotional dilemmas?
