This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by British author Jonathan Swift, telling the story of Gulliver's adventures in Lilliput. Gulliver (Jack Black) is a small postal clerk in a company, not young anymore, but with no achievements in career or love; his only hobby is to accompany Star Wars action figures. Due to a series of mishaps during a business trip, he finds himself in the Bermuda Islands, only to encounter a violent storm at sea. After things settle down, he discovers he has arrived at a mysterious island called Lilliput, which is not on any map, inhabited by hundreds and thousands of "little people." He is captured and "pinned" to the beach by them with numerous ropes. Over time, the people of Lilliput become good friends with Gulliver. At this time, the princess (Emily Blunt) is to be married off to another country, but she already has a childhood sweetheart. Gulliver intervenes to resolve the conflict between the two countries and helps the princess and her lover to tie the knot. As a result, Gulliver becomes a hero here, and this experience teaches him that the strength of the human heart is not related to appearance.
