In the 1970s, various adventurers roamed Hong Kong, which they considered a land of gold. Song Chihsiung (played by Bosco Wong) is honest and straightforward, often struggling to find work. One day, he encounters the crafty Xia Shisen (played by Jacky Cheung), who is also looking for a job. Benefiting from Xia's silver tongue, the two end up working together in a tea house.
