Looking back at the last thrilling adventure, it was already six years ago. Now, Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) have settled into stable lives. Harold has become a successful businessman on Wall Street and is married, while Kumar still lives in the old apartment he shared with Harold. With Christmas approaching, Harold's father and father-in-law decide to come celebrate together, and the father-in-law even brings his favorite Christmas tree. One day, Kumar receives a package addressed to Harold and decides to deliver it in person. However, an unexpected incident occurs, and the two accidentally burn down the father-in-law's Christmas tree. To find a convincing replacement before the father-in-law discovers it, they hit the streets of New York again. But knowing their usual style, this quest for a Christmas tree is bound to turn into another wildly chaotic adventure full of unexpected events...
