Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) quits his job as a voice actor due to conflicts with his colleagues. The joy brought by his lovely children gives him immense happiness, so he begins to play wildly with them on his son’s birthday. When his wife Miranda (Sally Field) sees the chaos in the house, she becomes very angry. Faced with her unreliable husband, Miranda decides to divorce him, and without a job, Daniel loses custody of the children.
