The prestigious Qiu family is preparing for a grand engagement party when an uninvited guest, Inspector Jia (played by Louis Koo), suddenly arrives with the case of Zhang Xiaojun, a girl involved in a double-death suicide, shattering the joyful atmosphere of the Qiu household. From the patriarch (played by Eric Tsang) and matriarch (played by Michelle Yim) to the young master (played by Lam Ka Tung) and young lady (played by Chrissie Chau), as well as the butler (played by Roland), everyone claims they do not know Zhang Xiaojun. Surprisingly, Inspector Jia manages to uncover the glamorous facade of the Qiu family using the victim's diary and a photo, revealing that each of them had significant connections to the deceased!
