A middle-class couple goes on a road trip, with the husband (Leon Niemczyk) always boasting, while the wife (Jolanta Umecka) just goes along with him. Along the way, they encounter a young hitchhiker (Zygmunt Malanowicz). After discussion, the couple decides to give him a ride. They arrive at the seaside, where the husband prepares to sail on their private sailboat to show off to the young man, inviting him to join. The young man gladly accepts, and together they set off. During the voyage, the young man gradually opens up to them, and they play a bamboo stick game on the table. He admits to the couple that he cannot swim, so he simply plays with a dagger on the deck. The husband jokes and accidentally throws the dagger into the sea. The young man gets very angry, leading to a scuffle between the two, resulting in both of them falling into the water, with the wife panicking, which causes a reversal in their relationship...
