Four American boys, Jim (Jason Biggs), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Oz (Chris Klein), are about to graduate high school, but all four are still clueless (and virgins). They are mocked for this and vow to lose their virginity before graduation. They throw a party before prom, hoping to find girls to say goodbye to their virginity. However, losing their virginity isn’t as easy as they imagined, and they keep missing their chances for various reasons at the last moment. With prom approaching, it's their last opportunity before graduation, and the four begin to step up their efforts. Jim, armed with the sexual knowledge taught by his father, Kevin, who loves looking at the library's "sex bible," Finch, who prefers older women, and the talented Oz, all strive for their vows during the party, leading to numerous comedic moments.
