A flippant remark by TS (Jeremy London) forces his girlfriend Brandy to participate in her father's television dating show, derailing their travel plans. Angered, TS storms off to seek solace from his old friend Brodie (Jason Lee). Brodie's situation is equally grim; his girlfriend, Lena, is fed up with his aimless obsession with comics and video games and breaks up with him to find romantic love. Downcast, TS and Brodie decide to hang out at the mall to distract themselves, but things don't get better there either! Brandy's father's TV show is setting up to record at the mall, and the fashion store manager pursuing Lena also makes life difficult for Brodie. Determined to fight back, the two enlist the help of pranksters Jay (Jason Mewes) and Bob (Kevin Smith) to sabotage the setup. Meanwhile, a mix of eccentric characters, including a comic book master, a 3D graphics enthusiast, and a teen passionate about sex research, all make their appearances at the mall. TS and Brodie must launch their own romantic defense amidst the chaos.
