The story takes place in the colorful Rainbow City, where a river called "Rainbow River" runs through the city, becoming an essential source of vitality for the community. The crayons, including Yellow (voiced by Christina Ricci), Blue (voiced by Wayne Brady), and Green (voiced by Jess Harnell), have a common owner named Abe. Whenever Abe falls asleep, the crayons come to life, returning to their homeland of Rainbow City to play joyfully. One day, an unfinished black-and-white painting followed the crayons to Rainbow City and, eager to gain color, plotted to take over the Rainbow River. The safety of their home is threatened, and the worried crayons are determined to unite and collectively protect the home they rely on for survival. Will these little crayons ultimately achieve victory?
